Campus Entertainment Survey Finds Fashion and Tech Items Top Student Holiday Wish Lists
(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/19/11 -- According to a recent survey of college students, Santa needs to brush up on his sense of fashion. The survey was conducted by college marketing company Campus Entertainment and included over 2,000 students on campuses across the country.
In the survey, students were asked to list their top 5 "wish list" items for the Holidays. Clothing was the most popular, with 58% of respondents including it on their list. High tech gadgets were also popular with students, with the most requested (41% of respondents) being a "tablet" -- the iPad and Kindle Fire were the two mentioned most.
The survey illustrated what a key role technology plays in student's lives. 89% of the wish lists included at least one hi-tech item (smartphone, tablet, computer, iPod, television, Xbox, etc.). In an encouraging note, 17% of the respondents included items more in line with the Holiday spirit, like spending time with family or wishes for their friends and loved ones.
