New Whiskey Girl Location Stops Pedestrian Traffic
(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/14/11 -- Improvements have started at the new located at 702 Fifth Ave. in the and the graphic windows are stopping pedestrian traffic.
Scheduled to open at the end of January 2012, Whiskey Girl will be closed for a few weeks, from its New Year's Eve bash at its current location at 600 Fifth Ave., until it opens at the new location.
"We needed to do something to let our regulars know that Whiskey Girl is still active and is better than ever," said David Schiffman, one of the owners of Whiskey Girl. "She's getting a makeover in a location a block north of her current venue. When she's ready to be revealed, she's going to be worth the wait."
Rather than cover the new location windows with dark paper to block what's happening inside, Schiffman and his partners decided to create eye candy for passersby. Whiskey Girl's new windows are covered in cartoon graphics that give pedestrians and motorists a hint of what Whiskey Girl is about.
"We're getting a lot of comments about the windows," Schiffman added. "People are coming by daily to take photos of them and it's a great way to create a buzz!"
The new Whiskey Girl will include 8,500 square feet and seating for 250 and capacity of approximately 400. The space also includes a dance floor.
Whiskey Girl features a casual atmosphere offering American Cuisine, spirited staff, and friendly vibe. Subscribing to all sports packages, patrons can catch all the games on one of the 30 plus TV screens. Dancing and entertainment are available every night of the week with cover bands and resident DJ Marc Thrasher mixing the hottest music videos from the classic '80s to today's top 40.
Whiskey Girl is owned by partners David Schiffman, Robert Lane and Vania Raitano, who also own in the Hillcrest area of San Diego. Other projects of Schiffman include located in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego, and located in Encinitas, Calif.
