(firmenpresse) - HUNTSVILLE, AL -- (Marketwire) -- 12/12/11 -- Camber Corporation President Joe Alexander today announced that he will retire on December 23, 2011 after 20 years of service with Camber Corporation. He joined Camber Corporation in its earliest years as a project manager, and assumed graduated responsibilities culminating in his assumption as President in 1999.

"Joe Alexander has been instrumental in establishing Camber Corporation as a premier provider of engineering and technical services to defense customers worldwide," said Walter Batson, Camber Corporation's Chief Executive Officer. "His leadership shaped the entrepreneurial values defining our culture, our service ethos toward our customers, and the operating patterns by which we empower Camber employees. Under Joe's watch, Camber grew from roughly 40 employees with $4 million in annual revenue, to 2,300 employees and $440 million in annual revenue. Camber people made this tremendous growth possible, but Joe Alexander created the leadership environment enabling and accelerating their service."

A native of Ohio, Mr. Alexander graduated from the U.S. Military Academy with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, concluding a 22-year career with the US Army in 1992. Mr. Alexander's military career included service as an Assistant Professor at West Point and as the Systems Coordinator of Intelligence and Electronic Warfare programs on the Army staff. He is a certified program manager, registered Professional Engineer, and holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University.

Mr. Alexander is married to the former Pamela Kay Spring of Ohio. Their son, John, is a computer network engineer and lives in Burke, VA. Active in community programs with strong ties to a variety of charitable interests, Joe and Pam will reside in Huntsville, AL.
