Kia Adds Top-of-the-Range '4' Trim Level to the cee'd & cee'd SW Ranges

(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 12/09/11 -- Limited has added a new top-of-the-range '4' version, complete with increased power output and high level of specification, to its cee'd and line-ups.
First launched this year on the , the '4' version is a logical extension of Kia's simple trim naming structure and sits above the existing '1', '2' and '3' versions.
Both the and share the same 1.6-litre CRDi turbodiesel engine that produces 126bhp at 4,000rpm - up from 113bhp on other trim versions - and 188lb/ft torque (255Nm) from 1,900 to 2,750rpm. A six-speed manual transmission is standard and a 4-speed automatic transmission is available as an option on the cee'd SW '4'.
Top speed on both manual variants is 122mph with the 0-60mph dash taking 10.6 seconds in the hatchback and just an additional 0.2 seconds in the estate. CO2 emissions for the cee'd '4' are 119 g/km, placing it in VED band 'C', whilst the combined-cycle fuel consumption figure is an economical 62.8mpg.
A more sporting exterior appearance has been achieved with a set of 17-inch alloy wheels, black bezel headlights and rear window privacy glass. The side indicator repeaters have been integrated into the door mirrors.
On the inside full black leather upholstery, combined with front heated seats, and a leather trimmed steering wheel and gear-knob add a luxurious feel. Driver convenience has been enhanced by the addition of cruise control, with steering wheel mounted controls, and electrically-operated heated and folding door mirrors.
High-tech features are in abundance on the '4'. A seven-inch colour touch screen system acts as the infotainment hub and controls a fully-integrated colour satellite navigation system, complete with European mapping, as well as the radio, CD player, iPod connectivity and Bluetooth hands-free systems. In addition, an advanced parking camera system offers a colour view of obstacles to the rear of the vehicle and is displayed on the same screen. The cee'd SW version adds the extra convenience of audible reverse parking sensors to this list.
The and cee'd SW '4' are available to order now and priced at GBP 19,195 and GBP 20,345 respectively on-the-road. The automatic gearbox option on the cee'd SW is priced at GBP 1,100 whilst the sporty-looking pro_cee'd '4' is also available at GBP 18,995 on-the-road.
