Media Invitation: Canadian Museum for Human Rights and Netherlands Embassy Launch Partnership to Work Together on Promoting Human Rights
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/08/11 -- Canada and the Netherlands are leaders when it comes to promoting and defending human rights both at home and abroad. The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (under construction in Winnipeg) and the Netherlands Embassy are pleased to announce their formal partnership and the intention to jointly work in support of a number of fundamental rights.
On the eve of International Human Rights Day (December 10), the Canadian Museum for Human Rights will enter into one of its first international partnerships in an effort to collaborate on projects of international scope and further its mandate of enhancing knowledge about human rights and encouraging reflection and dialogue.
Mr. Stuart Murray, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and Wim Geerts, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Canada will sign a memorandum of understanding in Ottawa to facilitate collaboration for the promotion of human rights through joint projects and education.
Following the signing of the MoU, Stuart Murray and Wim Geerts will be available for questions from the media.
