(PresseBox) - rland, 08.12.2011 - Data protection and backup specialist NovaStor announces the availability of NovaBACKUP version 12.5 for public and private cloud platforms. NovaStor?s latest release has increased performance up to ten times and has added support for the latest version of Microsoft SQL and VMware. NovaBACKUP 12.5 allows for seamless integration into an existing infrastructure and helps reduce backup windows considerably while substantially improving the end user experience.
Turnkey Cloud Backup Service
NovaStor?s new cloud backup solutions NovaBACKUP xSP and NovaBACKUP Remote Workforce 12.5 accelerate the implementation of a data backup service making it easier for service providers to sign new customers and increase revenues. Providers and corporate administrators can equip users with a fully configured data backup installation that can be implemented and protecting the end user?s critical data within minutes.
Bandwidth and other technological limitations often slow down data availability due to slow or limited connections and transmission times. Version 12.5 of NovaStor?s cloud backup solves this problem by optimizing both the cloud storage server and the client software.
Reduced Backup Windows for Growing Data Volumes
NovaStor has increased the backup speed of its products in order to keep up with continuously growing data volumes. Backup windows for large data loads have been reduced considerably. With regard to the increased use of virtual systems, virtual backup has been accelerated by up to ten times. In addition, comprehensive data base optimizations speed the processing of user input.
Support of Current Technologies such as VMware 5.0 and SQL 12
Version 12.5 provides support for recent technologies such as VMware vSphere ESXi 5.0 and Microsoft SQL 2012 in addition to older versions of Microsoft Exchange and SQL, VMware and Hyper-V. NovaStor has also extended its NAS security support facilitating compliance with internal security policies for backups on local NAS file systems.
To fulfill typical business requirements NovaStor supports the agentless backup of unlimited virtual machines on Hyper-V servers or several distributed VMware installations in the network with a single license. Further features include full, incremental and differential data backup locally as well as in the cloud, image disaster recovery, encryption, compression and virus protection.
