Global Forestry Joins the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Initiative
(firmenpresse) - LUXEMBOURG -- (Marketwire) -- 12/01/11 -- Global Forestry Capital S.A.R.L. (GFC) is pleased to announce joining the United Nations-backed Principles for Responsible Investment Initiative (PRI) as a signatory member.
The PRI is a network of international investors and investment professionals working together to put the six Principles for Responsible Investment into practice. The Principles were conceived by the investment community and they reflect the vision that environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) matters can affect the performance of investment portfolios and therefore must be given appropriate consideration by investors if they are to fulfil their fiduciary or equivalent duty. Global Forestry joins a community of over 950 investment signatory institutions, with assets under management reaching nearly US$ 30 trillion.
