Less Than 50% of Dutch Training Providers Active on Social Networks

47,1% of Dutch training providers have an account on Twitter, but only 8% are using Facebook to interact with their audience. Recent research by Springest amongst 2.433 registered training providers shows this.
Besides the fact that most training providers haven't registered a Twitter account, the training providers that do use it on a regular basis. On average, training providers are tweeting about once a day.
This, however, does not seem to be a lack of interest from the side of training participants. Training providers who are actively using their Twitter account, together have more than 414.000 followers, so potential participants do seem to have a need to interact via social media.
Volumes have been written on the importance of social media. Within most markets social media is now accepted as being a part of the marketing and communication strategy. In this respect, the education market seems to be lagging.
