Annual Awards Honours Outstanding Recipients for Their Achievements in Giving and Volunteering

With more than 16 million donors across the country, 82 percent who have continuously supported at least one cause for five years or longer, and 80 percent who say they plan to give more to charity this year, Canadians have a lot to be proud of. Eight remarkable recipients today received Philanthropy Awards from the at the Philanthropy Awards Luncheon, held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The Philanthropy Awards program celebrates the outstanding achievements and contributions of Canadians in time, leadership and financial support.

The Clark Family (Outstanding Philanthropist), Jamie and Patsy Anderson (Outstanding Volunteers), Bell Canada (Outstanding Corporation), The Michael Young Family Foundation (Outstanding Foundation), Mark Mannarn, (Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, Age 5-17), Robert Hampson, (Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, Age 18-23), David Palmer (Outstanding Fundraising Professional) and West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation (Small Organization in Excellence in Fundraising).
