Autonet Plays Its Part in Supporting the Local Community

As part of its ongoing scheme to help the local community, Autonet is now looking to push its social responsibility further by adding to its extensive list of charity events to help improve the lives of those most in need.
Since its startup back in 1998, Autonet has continued to grow in both size and success and has a made a name for itself as the largest van insurance broker in the country. It has also donated nearly GBP 9,500 to charity through its efforts over the years, joining hands with a number of charities. It demonstrated its support of people with breathing problems or lung disease by raising GBP 1,000 for the North Staffordshire-based charity Breath of Life.
As part of their continuing scheme, Autonet organised a sponsored 'sleeping rough night' where members of the company volunteered to put themselves in the shoes of those in need of shelter across the UK. The volunteers swapped their comfortable beds for a challenging night's sleep on the streets of Hanley, Staffordshire and all proceeds raised - GBP 540 in total - went towards the invaluable work of local charity Arch. The charity offers temporary housing and support to vulnerable individuals across Staffordshire and Cheshire.
Ian Donaldson, managing director of Autonet Insurance, is also keen to emphasise the company's work nationally and its mission to support both local and national charities who are struggling to raise funds given the testing economy. Autonet has already extended a helping hand to national organisations Children in Need and Comic Relief, where GBP 1,678.49 and GBP 809.92 was raised respectively.
Mr Donaldson is urging charities that are finding it particularly difficult to stay afloat to come forward, adding: "We understand the financial struggle that charities are experiencing in these challenging times. We will continue our involvement providing as much support for both local and national charities as we strive to make a real difference."
