Beginning November 16, 2011, disposable tourniquet cuffs will be available from ulrich medical, a family-owned business based in Ulm, Germany.
(firmenpresse) - The move, which will expand the product portfolio of this traditional tourniquet manufacturer and german market leader, will allow the company to offer its clients a wide variety of disposable and reusable cuffs for its exclusive tourniquets.
Available in sizes ranging between S and L, the new disposable cuffs come in sterile packaging, making them immediately available at any time—even in emergencies. The new cuffs ensure the highest level of safe, reliable hygiene, regardless of the hospital and surgical processes involved. Because they do not need to be reprocessed, disposable cuffs reduce the workload in the CSSD, particularly in medical institutions that handle large quantities of sterile materials.
All ulrich medical cuffs are easy to use and come with a Velcro closure and three different connectors, making them suitable for use on all commercially available tourniquets for single-port cuffs. The unique color-coding scheme used by ulrich medical allows users to distinguish easily between cuff sizes. The company has also developed its own measuring tape to help medical personnel determine the circumference of an extremity and use this figure to establish the ideal cuff size.
