The EP -- which includes the blockbuster UK hit single, "The A Team" -- arrives at all DSPs on December 6th.
"THE A TEAM" will feature four extraordinary tracks, previously unreleased in the US. In addition, a special iTunes version of the EP will be available exclusively via the iTunes Store, augmented by the additional track, "Grade 8 (Live At The iTunes Festival London)."
"The A Team" proved an unqualified sensation upon its June release, debuting at #3 on the UK Singles Chart. The track spent 11 consecutive weeks in the Top 10, making history as 2011's highest charting, biggest selling debut single. "The A Team" was soon followed by Sheeran's full-length debut, "+," which entered the charts at #1 with the highest opening sales figures for a debut artist ever. What's more, the platinum-certified "+" entered the record books as the best selling debut album by a UK male artist in the last 10 years. "+" will be released in the U.S. via Elektra Records next year.
In addition to their popular success, Sheeran and "+" received widespread acclaim, including the prestigious "Breakthrough Artist" trophy at the Q Awards 2011. The Suffolk-based tunesmith received a total of 3 nominations, placing him alongside other triple-nominated superstars like Adele, Arctic Monkeys, and Jessie J.
