WABCO Supplies Breakthrough Technology in Air Compression to Another Leading Global Manufacturer of Commercial Vehicles

(NYSE: WBC) (), a global technology leader and tier-one supplier to the commercial vehicle industry, will supply its breakthrough c-compâ„¢ clutchable air compression technology to another leading global manufacturer of commercial vehicles headquartered in Europe.
Series production in Europe is expected to begin by the end of 2012 to equip WABCO's c-comp air compressor on this major customer's heavy duty truck and bus engines that will meet upcoming EURO VI emission standards.
WABCO's breakthrough c-comp air compressor optimally disengages a truck or bus compressor from the engine when the vehicle's air pressure reaches full pressure. As a result, it allows fuel savings up to 264 gallons (1,000 liters) on long haul applications annually while reducing the vehicle's carbon dioxide emissions by as much as 5,700 pounds (2,600 kilograms).
