(firmenpresse) - GLASTONBURY, CT -- (Marketwire) -- 11/13/11 -- EGYPTAIR and International Aero Engines celebrated together the carrier's 20th year of operating Airbus A320 aircraft powered by IAE's V2500 engines.

It has continued to use the V2500 as the powerplant of choice for its total fleet of 17 A320 aircraft, accumulating more than a million engine flight hours.
"EGYPTAIR is our oldest customer in this region, and we are proud that it selected IAE and has continued to use our V2500s over the past two decades," said IAE President Ian Aitken. "Through our close relationship with EGYPTAIR we have been able to attain great levels of performance and efficiency."
EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE and ENGINEERING Chairman and CEO Eng. Abdel Aziz Fadel stated that, "During the past 20 years of cooperation we have witnessed professional support from IAE, and we will continue to exchange experiences for the sake of our customers both on EGYPTAIR aircraft and the aircraft of numerous airlines who choose EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE and ENGINEERING as their preferred maintenance site."
"We have great respect for this long-time customer who established IAE's presence in the Middle East," said IAE Executive Vice President Jim Guiliano. "They have a long and well respected heritage. As a result of our successful association with this preeminent airline in the Middle East, IAE has gone on to form many other successful customer alliances in this part of the world."
