Pollinate Makes Holidays Glow for La Crema Wines, Non-Profit 'One Warm Coat'
Multi-Media Initiative Ties Holiday Campaign to Philanthropic Giving
(firmenpresse) - PORTLAND, OR -- (Marketwire) -- 11/10/11 -- Pollinate today kicks off 'Feel the Glow,' a campaign for La Crema winery that spreads the warmth of the holiday season both in spirit and to those in need of some real warmth with support to the national charity, .
With an estimated 15% of Americans living in poverty, a warm coat is often considered a "nice to have" budgetary expense. By teaming with One Warm Coat, La Crema is able to activate and engage their Facebook community to help support those in need this winter season.
"It is exciting to see technology used in such an innovative way to share our mission/message," said Sherri Lewis Wood, President of One Warm Coat.
Fans of La Crema's Facebook page () can 'Pass the Glow' via a custom application that lets users send a 'glow' message to anyone on the social media site. The application displays how many total messages have been sent, with La Crema donating 50¢ to One Warm Coat for each one passed -- up to $20,000. Users can also see which network of friends has generated the largest number of donations.
"We believe 'Pass the Glow' is a great way to engage with our customers while supporting an extremely worthwhile cause," said Emily Oakes, Director of Marketing for La Crema.
Other holiday campaign elements include restaurant and retail point-of-sale materials, a mobile application, and digital advertising.
