Media Advisory: Remembrance Day Ceremony at the National Military Cemetery

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/09/11 -- A ceremony of Remembrance will take place at the National Military Cemetery on November 11, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony will honour all Canadian Forces members interred at the cemetery, and all of those who have fallen in the service of Canada.

The ceremony will include a marching contingent of CF members, veterans, and RCMP personnel, the firing of a Howitzer Gun to mark the beginning and the end of the two minutes of silence, and the laying of wreaths.

When: Friday, November 11, 2011 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Where: The National Military Cemetery, on the grounds of Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. Enter from either Beechwood Avenue or St. Laurent Boulevard; once inside there will be signs to guide traffic to the National Military Cemetery.
