Timothy J. Kay Appointed as Chairman of the Orange County Community Foundation Board of Governors
(firmenpresse) - NEWPORT BEACH, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/08/11 -- The Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) () announced the appointment of Timothy J. Kay as the Chairman of the Board of Governors, which oversees more than $136 million in charitable assets and annual granting of more than $29 million.
Kay is a Partner at Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. (), a full-service law firm, where he specializes in estate planning, trust and probate law. An exceptional attorney with a passion for philanthropy, Kay provides pro bono legal advice to several nonprofit organizations. He serves on the boards of the South Coast Repertory Theater, Orange Coast Estate Planning Council and Boys Republic, a private school for troubled youth.
"Tim has been a valuable asset to the Orange County Community Foundation's Board of Governors. He has generously contributed his legal expertise on a wide range of topics and has diligently served on our audit committee. His leadership will play an important role in the board's strategic planning process and in addressing a broad range of community needs in Orange County in partnership with our donors," said President Shelley Hoss.
Kay holds a J.D. with distinction from Stanford Law School and a B.A. in psychology from University of San Francisco.
