SmithGroup Hires Petra Horna as Director of Healthcare Business Development
(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/08/11 -- , one of the nation's leading architecture, engineering, interiors, and planning firms, announced it has hired Petra Horna to lead business development efforts for its San Francisco and Los Angeles Health Studios.
Horna makes the move to SmithGroup from EwingCole's Washington, DC office, where she served as Director of Healthcare Business Development since 2008. Additional prior experience includes work as an account executive with The Orchid Group in Vienna, Virg., an integrated marketing communications firm assisting clients in the real estate development arena. Horna also held the role of marketing manager with Global Development Partners, LLC in Washington, DC.
Horna graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She has been active in the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).
In her new role, Horna will serve in a business development leadership role and will be responsible for identifying marketing opportunities for the firm's California offices, cultivating relationships with SmithGroup's existing client base and strategic new client targets in the healthcare arena.

Horna is a native of the Czech Republic and currently resides in Oakland, Calif.
