Media Advisory: Ministers Ashfield and MacKay Commemorate A Fallen Canadian Hero With an Unveiling of the First Coast Guard Hero Class Mid-Shore Patrol Vessel
(firmenpresse) - HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/07/11 -- The Honourable Keith Ashfield, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, and the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, will unveil the first of the Canadian Coast Guard's nine new 'Hero' class ships currently under construction at the Halifax Shipyards. Each vessel bears the name of a fallen Canadian hero.
The family of the late Private James Peter Robertson V.C., honouree of the first ship of the class CCGS Private Robertson V.C., will be in attendance.
Please note: Media should arrive by 1:15 pm and require a photo I.D. to access the shipyard. Appropriate footwear is recommended.
