211: A Remarkable Year in Review
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/02/11 -- November marks the one year anniversary of the 211 service, and in partnership with the United Way is celebrating this important milestone.
The has already helped over 30,000 callers across the Lower Mainland and we would like to celebrate the success of this service by thanking the communities, supporters and callers of the 211 line.
BC211 is a non-profit information and referral service that provides help through access to information about community, social, and government services over the phone.
211 has been available 24 hours a day, seven days a week over the past year. It provides free, confidential, multilingual help that is accessible to over 2.6 million residents in the Metro Vancouver, Squamish-Lillooet, and Fraser Valley Regional Districts.
BC211 officially launched the 211 service one year ago at our home in the Woodward's Building in downtown Vancouver, and has been an integral part of the community ever since.
BC211 is seeking opportunities for media coverage to help draw attention to this valuable service and acknowledge an incredibly successful year.
