dsolv(R): Sustainable Product Partners with Walmart Canada to Answer Growing Demand Among BC Consumers
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/31/11 -- PD Worx LLC has named Walmart Canada as the exclusive British Columbia retailer of dsolv®, the world's first 100 percent compostable mesh lawn and leaf bag. Made of corn sugars and other sustainable plant-based products, dsolv® is answering the increasing demand for eco-friendly waste-management solutions for British Columbia consumers.
New data from confirms growing consumer demand for sustainable household products, reporting a year over year increase of 27 percent of Canadians consciously choosing eco-friendly products over alternatives. In a quest to become the greenest city by 2020, the well-informed Vancouver public is insisting retailers offer more responsible choices.
"North Americans are becoming increasingly conscious of the waste they produce and how they dispose of it, thus the demand for sustainable products has been growing as well," said PD Worx LLC Principal Paul Kolada. "In order for us to meet the demand among BC consumers, we knew it would be important to partner with a consumer-conscious and environmentally friendly retailer to build credibility for our launch into the market, and Walmart was the perfect solution."
The driving force is due to the rising concern of the Canadian consumer who is becoming increasingly conscious of products and materials that have very little impact on the environment.
"As a company, it was a natural decision to introduce dsolv® to BC," added Kolada, "The decision came because of the strength of BC's economy coupled with strong consumer demand for eco-friendly solutions and Walmart Canada's reach across the market."
As of October 1, 2011, dsolv® is available in 31 Walmart Canada locations across the province. To learn more about dsolv®, please visit
