VHA Ranked in Modern Healthcare's "Best Places to Work" for Fourth Consecutive Year
Thirty-Three Members of the VHA Family of Companies Named to Magazine's Annual List
(firmenpresse) - IRVING, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 10/31/11 -- VHA Inc., the national health care network, was named to Modern Healthcare magazine's "Best Places to Work" list for the fourth consecutive year. VHA is one of only 11 companies that have appeared on the list each year during its four-year existence.
The magazine's "Best Places to Work" list also included 33 members of the VHA family of companies that includes Novation and Provista.
The magazine compiled this year's list using information collected from several thousand health care employees at more than 325 health care companies nationwide including 71 hospitals, 26 suppliers and three manufacturers. To determine the winners, Modern Healthcare asked employees a series of questions related to:
Leadership and planning
Culture and communications
Quality of working environment
Training and development
Compensation and benefits
Overall Satisfaction
Role Satisfaction
Modern Healthcare also noted that VHA's employees had cited employee and community-related benefits including flexible work hours, multi-pronged recognition programs and company-wide philanthropic and charitable efforts as top reasons why they loved working at VHA Inc.
Curt Nonomaque, president and chief executive officer of VHA, says that VHA's fourth consecutive appearance on the list is particularly gratifying given the significant number of VHA members also recognized, and the myriad challenges and pressures the health care industry has continued to weather.
