Cooley Partner Elected President of Turnaround Management Association
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 10/26/11 -- Cooley LLP announced today that Ronald Sussman, a partner in the firm's Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice, has been elected president of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) effective Jan. 1, 2012. Sussman is currently Corporate Secretary on the TMA Executive Board and a Trustee on the International Board of Trustees.

Based in New York, Sussman has successfully represented debtors, creditors, employee and other official committees in some of the country's most significant bankruptcy cases, including Enron, United Airlines, Blockbuster, Mervyn's, Pacific Metro/Kinkade Gallery, Gottschalks, EPV Solar, The Sharper Image, CompUSA, Loehmann's and The Walking Company, among others. Selected as one of the "Super Lawyers of New York" every year from 2006 through 2011, Sussman has assisted companies and their creditors in some of the most complex bankruptcy proceedings nationwide and abroad.

Sussman was elected to the TMA's Board of Directors after leading several committees and special task forces as chairman. He joined the TMA in the mid-1990s and held numerous officer positions, including Vice President of Communications, in addition to Corporate Secretary.
