GREY GOOSE, the World's Best Tasting Vodka, is delighted to announce that illustrious shoe designer Christian Louboutin has designed his own dream cocktail bar to be auctioned at this year's GREY GOOSE Winter Ball to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation on Saturday 29 October.
Arguably the most recognised and revered shoe designer in history, Christian Louboutin is adored for his daring approach to design and is one of the fashion world's most influential faces. Responsible for having single-handedly revived the stiletto, Louboutin gladly accepted the challenge of imagining a cocktail bar that captures all of the quintessentially French sophistication, taste and flair that he is known for, and that he shares with GREY GOOSE.
Louboutin's GREY GOOSE cocktail bar takes the shape of his classic stiletto turned on its side to provide a high shine black gloss bar top, while the back of the bar is lacquered in Pantone 186c to mimic Louboutin's signature scarlet sole. As Louboutin himself explains, the slick of red beneath every pair of Louboutins is designed to make the wearer feel as though they are walking the red carpet just like an A-Lister, and his GREY GOOSE cocktail bar encapsulates this sense of glamour perfectly. A faultlessly sleek and stylish creation, Louboutin's Grey Goose Bar beautifully juxtaposes the old with the new, as ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics sit beneath the polished, high fashion surface.
To complement his bar design, Christian Louboutin has also worked with GREY GOOSE to design a cocktail that captures his unique style and that will be served to guests on the evening, the GREY GOOSE Red Carpet. This unique drink features a needle and thread representing the architecture involved in Louboutin's work and the exquisite French craftsmanship for which he is famed. An intriguingly sour combination of GREY GOOSE Le Citron, tart French raspberries, cherries and goji berry liqueur, the Red Carpet cocktail is finished with pepper and a touch of ginger - Christian's favourite flavour.

Over the years, GREY GOOSE has invited some world-class characters to be part of the GREY GOOSE Winter Ball to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation by designing their dream cocktail bar, which is auctioned on the night to raise funds for the charity. Previous partners have included Jean Paul Gaultier, Sam Taylor-Wood, Dinos Chapman, Gavin Turk, Elizabeth Hurley, Lily Allen, Lily Cole, Roland Mouret, Eva Herzigova, Christopher Bailey, Giles Deacon, Theo Fennell, Patrick Cox and David Furnish. In 2009, Lily Allen's Lil Box of Tracks bar, which folded open to reveal turntables surrounded by sumptuous leather seating, fetched a record GBP 100,000 at auction.
Christian Louboutin's GREY GOOSE cocktail bar will go on auction at the GREY GOOSE Winter Ball to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation on Saturday 29 October in Battersea Park, London. The lucky winner will also be treated to a cocktail party on a date of their choice, in the comfort of their own home, where they and their guests will be served delicious GREY GOOSE cocktails from Christian Louboutin's bar. In addition they will also receive a beautiful pair of Christian Louboutin's current season shoes which will be signed by the designer.
The auction will follow a world-class dinner by the internationally renowned elBulli, and will also feature lots created by 'Brit Artist' Marc Quinn and fashion luminary Jonathan Saunders.
