(firmenpresse) - OAKLAND, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/25/11 -- The Clorox Company Foundation has released its 2011 annual report, highlighting its fiscal year 2011 contribution of $4 million in cash grants primarily to support youth programs, K-12 education and cultural and civic organizations where the company conducts business in the U.S.

"Part of that is supporting what our employees care about most by matching their donations of time and money. In tough times, our communities need our support more than ever, and I'm proud of how the Foundation and our employees continue to step up and make a difference."

In addition to the foundation's distribution of cash grants, The Clorox Company provides cash and product donations to disaster relief efforts. In fiscal year 2011, the company made product donations valued at more than $13 million to support areas devastated by natural disaster, including communities in the U.S. Midwest and South, Colombia and Venezuela that were struck by storms and flooding. The company also donated product to help fight the cholera outbreak that hit Haiti months after the earthquake as well as donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross following Japan's earthquake and tsunami.
