Implant Sciences Sells Follow-On Order to China's Beijing Subway System
QS-H150 Explosives Trace Detectors Deployed for Transportation Security
(firmenpresse) - WILMINGTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/25/11 -- Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCQB: IMSC) (PINKSHEETS: IMSC), a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security markets, today announced the sale of additional units of its Quantum Sniffer™ QS-H150 handheld explosives trace detector to the Beijing Subway system, an existing customer in China.
The Beijing Subway is a modern system with 14 lines, all of which have been built in the past decade. With 172 stations, the Beijing Subway ranks fifth in the world for annual ridership and is the fourth longest in the world for track length. Having purchased Quantum Sniffers every year since 2008, the Beijing Subway now has over 200 QS-H150 portable explosives trace detectors in service.

The QS-H150 Quantum Sniffer is a hand-held explosives trace detector that uses Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) to rapidly detect and identify trace amounts of a wide variety of military, commercial, improvised, and homemade explosives. The QS-H150 uses no radioactive materials and features a low-maintenance design that is self-calibrating and self-clearing, providing very high levels of operational availability.
The QS-B220 Quantum Sniffer, introduced in May 2011, is a bench-top explosives and narcotics trace detector that uses Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) to rapidly detect and identify trace amounts of a wide variety of military, commercial, improvised, or homemade explosives and narcotic substances. The QS-B220 continues the Implant Sciences tradition of freedom from radioactive materials, low total cost of ownership, and high operational availability.
