Rojas & Asociados Welcomes Its New Client, Genesis Minerals
(firmenpresse) - MENDOZA, ARGENTINA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/24/11 -- Rojas & Asociados is pleased to announce that Genesis Minerals Limited, an Australian public company, joined its client portfolio earlier this year and will be conducting exploration programs in San Juan province, one of the favorite exploration destinations in the country and a mining friendly jurisdiction.
Genesis Minerals signed an agreement with Teck Argentina Ltd. ("Teck"), a subsidiary of Teck Resources Limited, to acquire a 100% rights on Poncha and Los Opeñas projects, both located in San Juan. Rojas & Asociados will manage exploration works, including prospecting and drilling programs, in close connection with the management of Genesis.
Genesis' Managing Director Michael Fowler commented, "This is a fantastic opportunity for Genesis to discover a significant epithermal gold deposit. There are a number of drill ready targets at both Projects. These Projects fit very well with our projects in Chile and we look forward to commencing our first drilling program in the coming months with Rojas & Asociados providing great support for this work."
Argentina is becoming an attractive destination for exploration investments within Latin America. MEG 2010 report indicates exploration investments of over US $300 M, 3% of the exploration investment worldwide. Moreover, Argentine mining awaits the construction of new projects involving investments for over US $32 billion in the next years, as a result of a history of intense exploration works.
