As patron of the Rick Hansen 25 th Anniversary Relay, His Excellency will run alongside Canadian Paralympian Rick Hansen from the Embassy of France to Rideau Hall, on Sussex Drive. The general public can cheer on the participants along the way and welcome them as they arrive on the grounds of Rideau Hall, at approximately 11:50 a.m.

Reception for the 25th Anniversary of the Man In Motion World Tour
Following the relay, His Excellency and Rick Hansen will deliver remarks during a reception to mark the 25 th anniversary of the Man In Motion World Tour.

About the Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary Relay
Launched on August 24, 2011, in Cape Spear, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary Relay is retracing the Canadian segment of the original Man In Motion World Tour. It will traverse 12 000 kilometres, through 600 communities and conclude in Vancouver, British Columbia, on May 22, 2012.
The relay will inspire many in motion, engaging 7 000 participants from across Canada who have made their own difference in the lives of others. The goal of the relay is to bring communities together, highlight the contributions of local champions for positive change, and inspire the next generation to take action.
