The bUZZ Ladies™ () launching in San Diego this month is a new kind of social club-meets-networking group that offers women of all ages, backgrounds and professions the opportunity to get together for a night of dining and reviewing great local restaurants.
Founder Audra Leigh started the bUZZ Ladies to give women a reason to get together and enjoy a night out with other amazing women.
"A few years ago, I was a stay-at-home mom and had really become a 'stuck-at-home mom,'" said bUZZ Ladies Founder Audra Leigh, a native San Diegan. "I realized my 'social' life was basically restricted to interaction on Facebook and Twitter. I knew I needed to get out and experience real, quality interaction with my female friends, so I had the idea to get a group of girlfriends together to go out and review a local restaurant. From there word spread and women were calling asking if they could attend one of what I called 'bUZZ nights' -- and it's just taken off from there."
bUZZ nights are held weekly at an array of San Diego restaurants -- ranging from the hottest new opening to the local family-owned establishment. The women receive restaurant review cards to fill out during the meal, which are then posted to The bUZZ Ladies website, . The site allows women to stay connected with other bUZZ Ladies (membership is FREE) in between events, see the calendar of upcoming bUZZ nights, and check out the latest bUZZ in San Diego -- from great new restaurants, to product reviews, trends and celebrity sightings.
"The bUZZ Ladies really brings together an online community with real-life face-to-face interaction," said Leigh. "It's so important to have a strong group of women that support and encourage you, whether personally or professionally. We are positive, friendly and welcoming to everyone.
