Thrutu Continues to Innovate and Leverage the Power of the Smartphone to Allow Enhanced Interactions Outside of the Phone Call
(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/19/11 -- Thrutu today announced the launch of Thrutu Interactive, which extends the functionality of its popular mobile app outside of the phone call to enable the interactive exchange of info, data and media anytime. Now, users can tap into Thrutu's powerful buttons to access shared, interactive utilities and games, without making a phone call.
When it launched in March of this year, Thrutu added a whole new dimension to the voice call, letting users instantly share all manner of interactive content and media during a phone conversation -- including photos, location and contact information -- all at the touch of a button (click here to watch this ). In response to popular demand from users, Thrutu has made its unique functionality available outside the phone call with Thrutu Interactive.
Now available on Android, users can easily initiate a Thrutu Interactive out-of-call session by selecting another Thrutu'er from the Contacts list and choosing "Send Message." Now, the new "Go Interactive" option alerts the other person, and invites them to participate in a live Thrutu session.
When the other user accepts the session, both users have access to all their favorite Thrutu buttons for sharing and interacting:
Share your location -- see each other's position updating live on a map, making it easy to meet halfway or orient yourself when lost;
Draw a doodle -- whether on top of a map or photo, or just as a standalone sketch, Doodle updates live on both users' phone screens simultaneously;
Play a game -- pick your opponent and sit down for an interactive gaming session that's just like going head-to-head in person;
Snap photos, send contacts, share a web search, transfer money with PayPal, or use any of the additional buttons available from .
With Thrutu Interactive, users also have access to free, interactive text messaging. Additionally, there is a button for easily initiating a phone call directly from the session.

Thrutu Interactive is available immediately on the Android Market, and coming soon to iPhone and BlackBerry. Existing Thrutu users can simply update their Android apps to version 1.040 or above. To be alerted to an incoming interactive session, users will need C2DM capabilities, which are supported in Android 2.2 or above.
