WizIQ Announces iPad Application for the WizIQ Virtual Classroom

The app will enter private beta for select WizIQ members in late November, but Chris Dawson, VP of Business Development, demonstrated a working version of the app which is being specially designed for students, giving them anytime, anywhere access to the .
The WizIQ Virtual Classroom iPad App will offer most of the features available in the desktop version. This will be an important new instructional tool for the students and teaching organizations currently registered on WizIQ. The app will make online classes on WizIQ more accessible and students will be able to:
Attend online classes from home, a cafe, or wherever they happen to be.
Connect with video and audio on their iPads, with complete echo cancellation, eliminating the need for a headset.
View presentations, reports, documents, PDFs, Excel spreadsheets, and multimedia.
Interact with shared whiteboards.
Text chat publicly with all participants or privately with the teacher.
Raise their hand in the class for questions.
Give instant feedback through polls.
WizIQ has opened signups for on a first come, first served basis from anyone who wants to have a first look, test out the app, and provide feedback prior to formal launch in early January. The app will be free for WizIQ users, enabling access to online classes from the most popular tablet in the world. WizIQ is also developing an Android app and will announce a beta program on that platform later next month.
