According to company officials, Hurd's Eco System offers a new level of high-efficiency insulated glass units. The flagship windows, , are at least three times as efficient as ordinary insulated glass windows. While an ordinary window might achieve an R-value of 2, Ultra-R windows are rated from an impressive center of glass R-6 to an unprecedented R-20. Ultra-R windows utilize suspended film technology along with low-E coated glass and gas filling to offer amazing insulation values, great sun control/fade protection and improved noise reduction.
