Word-of-Mouth Movements With Geno Church, Author of "Brains on Fire," Is Focus of San Diego Advertising Club Workshop

(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/17/11 -- The San Diego Advertising Club will present a workshop on "Lessons Learned in Igniting Word-of-Mouth Movements," from noon to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the University Club on the 34th floor of Symphony Towers, 750 "B" St., in Downtown San Diego. The public is invited to attend. The main speaker will be of a Greenville, South Carolina-based marketing firm.

Church's discussion topics will include how to assemble powerful, meaningful and sustainable word-of-mouth and buzz marketing programs for a brand that will directly impact the bottom line, and how to identify and work with brand advocates who already are speaking out on your behalf. He will explain how word-of-mouth marketing works, and how it doesn't, and provide techniques on how to identify movement-building opportunities with authenticity and clear measurement results in mind.

Church is a sought-after speaker and consultant who has worked with such brands as Fiskars Brands, American Booksellers Association, Rawlings Sporting Goods, National Family Partnership, Charleston Parks Conservancy, U.S. Office of National Drug Control Policy, Ronald McDonald Children's Charities and Rage Against the Haze, which is South Carolina's youth-led, anti-tobacco movement.
