Senator Cites Kauffman's Startup Act Provisions as Model for Creating an Environment That Will Encourage New Businesses to Create Jobs
(firmenpresse) - KANSAS CITY, MO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/14/11 -- U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) vowed to introduce new legislation that would create an environment for new firms to start, grow and create jobs in a speech delivered on the floor of the U.S. Senate yesterday. Citing many of the ideas in the Kauffman Foundation's , Moran presented "pro-growth principles" that he said would give job creators the confidence to hire more people, including:
Removing barriers to entrepreneurial growth
Moving research for the university lab to the marketplace
Attracting and retaining entrepreneurial talent
Encouraging pro-growth policies at the state and local levels
Kauffman's Startup Act is a set of non-partisan ideas to jump-start the ailing U.S. economy and increase job creation by accelerating the growth of startups and young businesses.
