Westeel Expands European Presence With New Branch Office in Madrid
Expansion Is Part of the Company's Ongoing Strategy to Increase Presence in Its Chosen Markets of Focus
(firmenpresse) - WINNIPEG, MANITOBA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/13/11 -- Westeel, one of Canada's foremost suppliers of steel storage products and grain handling equipment, is announcing the addition of a new branch office in Madrid, Spain. Opening in late 2011, the Madrid office will be the gateway to Westeel's operations in Europe and will house sales, marketing and application engineering support functions.
"Increasing Westeel's global presence is a priority for our company, and this new office will allow us to continue to build upon our relationships with existing overseas customers, as well as create opportunities for new partnerships," said Andre Granger, Westeel's Vice President and General Manager.
The announcement of Westeel's new office in Madrid coincides with the appointment of Antonio Benitez Kuhl as Westeel's new International Sales Manager. Mr. Benitez Kuhl was previously Commercial manager with silo manufacturer Symaga and has extensive experience in the agricultural business sector. Mr. Benitez Kuhl will be leading a fully staffed office in Madrid. "The creation of an international sales office in Madrid is a solid step towards accelerating Westeel's international sales growth, and we are thrilled to welcome Antonio to our team," said Ryan Baldwin, Westeel's Director of Sales and Marketing.
