In order to make the area better for everyone and their pets, team members at the have made it a point to give back to the local community by becoming involved in many charitable activities.

The Noblemen is a non-profit organization in Virginia Beach that also has eight member chapters in and around the Hampton Roads region. The Noblemen's goal is to determine and perform Noble Deeds for local kids who need some extra assistance. Examples of recent "Noble Deeds" include Trolley Ride for EdMarc Hospice, Christmas Toy Drive, Dictionary Project, Round Table Scholarship and Noblemen Against Drunk Driving. Upcoming fundraising events include The Wicked Ball on October 29 at The Wyndham in Virginia Beach and The Noblewomen Gown Gala on November 5 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
Commenting on his involvement, Dr. Johnson said, "This group is great. The motto of The Noblemen is to 'Be A Part of the Solution.' I'm particularly proud of this organization, but also pleased that the members of my staff have taken up other causes in the Virginia Beach area. As a veterinarian, my number one goal is to offer great services at our veterinary clinic. But I also want to take the lead in making Virginia Beach a great place to live, raise a family, and enjoy our animal companions."
Dr. Johnson is working with the leaders of The Noblemen to create a new branch of the organization called NoblePets. NoblePets will allow pet owners to acknowledge the special bond they have with their pet and at the same time fund noble deeds in their community, including helping disabled local kids and veterans who would benefit from having specially trained aid dogs to make their lives less difficult. Each NoblePet will be recognized on the Noblemen website and at participating veterinarian's offices, including Dr. Johnson's Birdneck Animal Hospital. Staff members at the have joined the cause by donating at local blood drives, and will be participating in the upcoming as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Race For The Cure 5K run/walk raises money and increases awareness of breast cancer. It also celebrates breast cancer survivors as well as paying tribute and honor to those who have died from breast cancer.
Another way the is making Virginia Beach safer for pets is by providing on its website so that everyone in the area will know what to do in an emergency situation involving a pet.
