Synapse CTO Named to IPSO Alliance Technical Advisory Board
(firmenpresse) - HUNTSVILLE, AL -- (Marketwire) -- 10/12/11 -- Synapse Wireless®, Inc. announced today that David Ewing, Chief Technology Officer, has been named to the IPSO Alliance Technical Advisory Board (TAB). IPSO is the primary advocate for IP networked devices used in energy, consumer, healthcare and industrial applications. TAB provides for the technical oversight of IP Smart Objects and for the review of progress made by relevant standardization groups. Synapse, with its embedded wireless and cloud-connectivity products based on its SNAP® network operating system, has been prescient in providing a seamlessly connected IP infrastructure and robust platform for developers to build the Internet of Things.
Joining fellow new TAB members from Oracle, Ericsson and four other companies, Mr. Ewing brings a career-long passion of extending TCP/IP into the embedded world. "David's experience with IP routing technology was instrumental in helping with the development of Synapse's award-winning SNAP OS for mesh networks," said Wade Patterson, CEO and founder of Synapse Wireless.
