Media Advisory: Minister Oda Visiting Haiti to Express Canada's Long-Term Commitment
(firmenpresse) - PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI -- (Marketwire) -- 10/11/11 -- The Honourable Beverley J. Oda, Minister of International Cooperation, will visit Haiti and meet with President Martelly and Prime Minister Conille to seek their views on national priorities and key challenges. They will also discuss the Government of Canada's overarching priorities and long-term commitments in the country. Minister Oda will visit CIDA-funded projects and meet with key Canadian non-governmental organizations to gain an appreciation of how CIDA partners are achieving results in Haiti.
Minister Oda will hold a media teleconference on the final day of her visit to Haiti.
