Swinton Commercial Backs Tyre Safety Month
(firmenpresse) - MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 10/09/11 -- As part of Tyre Safety Month, Swinton Commercial is advising fleet managers to carry out regular checks of their vehicles tyres.
The broker surveyed 1,000 fleet managers and found that nearly two-fifths (37%) do not regularly check their vehicles tyres for defects.
Tyre Safety Month runs for the duration of October and this year is focusing on driving in winter. Swinton has also teamed up with Goodyear Tyres to promote the fitment of cold weather tyres this winter.

Swinton Commercial is also warning fleet managers to be aware of the consequences of being caught with defective tyres. The driver could expect a fine and up to three penalty points on their licence while the fleet manager may see an increase in their future policy premium.
