This issue focuses on medical devices. It includes an article on a pre-packaged surgical tray used in various eye surgeries and reports of a suspected contamination with lint, fibres or other particles.
It also presents a case of a patient whose cheek was burned by a hand-held device during a dental procedure. Finally, this edition includes an editorial marking the newsletter's 20th anniversary, and contains the quarterly summary of communications to health professionals and the public.
