Nation's Largest Campaign Against Cyberbullying Is Launched; Teens Are Challenged to Find Solutions to These Attacks
Dr. Oz and His Teenage Daughter Lend Their Voices to The Great American NO BULL Challenge
(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/04/11 -- The Cyber Safety Academy today launches The Great American NO BULL Challenge, the first youth led program empowering students to stop cyberbullying, a problem 50% of teenagers have experienced, sometimes with deadly results.
The Great American NO BULL Challenge offers 25 million middle and high school students the opportunity to write and direct anti-bullying videos in a national competition. The winners will be recognized as celebrities at the star-studded NO BULL Red Carpet Awards in San Francisco in July. Videos should be submitted at: between January 15 - March 15, 2012.
The campaign's teen spokespeople, who will share their stories and advice to build kids up, are anti-bullying blogger and cyberbullying victim, Nicole Marie Edgington; author Zoe Oz, the daughter of TV's Dr. Oz; and race car driver Zach Veach. The Great American NO BULL Challenge represents the largest campaign against cyberbullying in America's history. The campaign's strategic partners collectively touch nearly every household in America. Together they reach 134 million individuals, operating from thousands of locations across the country. Partners include: i-SAFE, National Organizations for Youth Safety, teenDailyStrength, 4-H, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Business Professionals of America, Project Change, American School Counselor Association, HealthCorps, The Megan Meier Foundation, National Collaboration for Youth and Boys and & Girls Clubs of America. The campaign is hosted by the Cyber Safety Academy, in association with imbee.com and Proactive Parenting Network.
Content from the student created videos and footage from the red carpet awards event will be the subject of three powerful PSAs to be aired nationally, as well as a 25-minute school assembly program for schools and organizations to assist them with cyber safety education across the country.
The Cyber Safety Academy presents The Great American NO BULL Challenge, in association with imbee and Proactive Parenting Network as a way to change the national conversation about cyberbullying and save lives. The national campaign was founded by Shawn Edgington, a cyber-safety expert and the President of The Cyber Safety Academy.
