Big Gains for Volkswagen Canada
All New Passat Now on Sale
(firmenpresse) - AJAX, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/03/11 -- For the twelfth consecutive month, new vehicle sales at have set an all-time high. In September, 4,630 Volkswagens were sold nationwide, representing a 41% increase over the same period last year.
Through the first nine months, 40,396 Volkswagens have been sold, a full 21% above last year's total.
"By repositioning our lineup, we are now able to offer Canadians the right sized car, with the right features, at the right price", stated John White, President and CEO of Volkswagen Group Canada.
The top selling model remains the all-new . It is larger than the previous model, and still offers improved fuel economy and a fresh, modern look to go along with a significantly lower starting price. In September, 2,402 were sold, bringing its year-to-date total up to 20,969, an increase of 164% over 2010.
Now arriving in showrooms across the country is the newest member of the Volkswagen family, the mid-sized . The 2012 Passat has been completely redesigned inside and out. Its look is clean and elegant, and the interior offers significantly more space. The Passat features a choice of three engines, including the award-winning .
