An Extreme Makeover for AceProject's 10th Anniversary

Websystems is proud to announce a complete makeover of 's interface, the company's project management software.
Over the last few months, Websystems worked full-time on revamping the interface of its ten-year old web-based project management application. "We grew tired of negative feedback with regards to AceProject's look and feel. We had been spending too much time deploying new features without improving the interface. We failed at that task and had to modernize the product in order to keep our competitive edge," states Daniel Raymond, Websystems' owner and president.
The new interface brings up a global search box, a project search box, and the ability to open multiple projects simultaneously. Furthermore, AceProject's usability has been significantly improved. "What we've done isn't just bells and whistles. Actually, we adapted AceProject to the current navigation standards. We added a right side bar that helps perform key actions and a task bar that includes elements that used to be scattered all over the interface. As a result, the application is a lot more functional than before." says Michel Bourbeau, graphic designer and HTML integrator for Websystems.
Websystems wishes to remain a leader in the project management SaaS world. For them, this was not possible with an outdated look. "We were there before most of our competitors, but people know them better than AceProject. It shouldn't be that way. A reason for this is they offer attractive products. We didn't give that perception, although our product is as powerful as theirs, and even more," says Sylvain Traversy, technical writer and web marketing specialist at Websystems.
The new interface was launched as a beta. This enabled customers to submit their comments and find bugs, which we could fix quickly. "Our customers are really thrilled about what we came up with. Without exaggerating, I can tell you that 9 clients out of 10 are completely amazed by the new AceProject. We have never got so much positive feedback on our product," mentions Michel Deslandes, customer service representative for Websystems.
