SharePoint diagnostic manager turns SharePoint performance data into actionable knowledge through real-time monitoring, performance analysis and automated alerting on the health and performance of a SharePoint environment and its applications.
SharePoint diagnostic manager enables administrators to quickly pinpoint, diagnose and resolve and availability issues related to server performance, resource usage and poorly performing HTML controls, web parts and web controls. It saves time and money by dramatically reducing administrative overhead while enabling SharePoint user productivity. SharePoint diagnostic manager 2.6 now offers:
- Administrators can now define how SharePoint diagnostic manager responds to alerts. Rules, such as send an email to a specified address, write an event to the Windows Event Log, or generate an SNMP trap, can be set to determine specific actions for specific metrics, farms, servers and pages as well as defining who should receive those alerts.
- From a single screen, administrators can view details on alerts; graphs showing the performance of a metric over the last few hours, days or week; alerting thresholds; and articles from the Idera SharePoint Performance Knowledge Base, providing guidance on how best to resolve the issue causing the alert.
- SharePoint performance alerts can now be forwarded to enterprise performance monitoring solutions such as Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) via SNMP integration.
