Canadian Staff Union Reaches Tentative Agreement With CUPE
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/02/11 -- Members of the Canadian Staff Union (CSU) have reached a tentative agreement with CUPE.
CSU President Peter Paulekat says, "The deal was reached early this morning and the Bargaining Committee will be recommending its acceptance.
"We will be providing details of the settlement to CSU members by video by the end of this week. This will be followed by Regional meetings and then an electronic ratification vote.
"We anticipate the vote will be held October 20 and 21, with the results being released immediately after that," says Paulekat.
The CSU represents 405 Servicing and Specialist Reps in every province except Quebec, as well as administrative and technical staff at the union's head office in Ottawa.
