Centaurus Capital LP Acquires Shares of Zarlink Semiconductor Inc.
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 09/30/11 -- Centaurus Capital LP ("Centaurus") announces that on September 29, 2011, through funds it manages, it acquired control of 562,100 common shares of Zarlink Semiconductor Inc. ("Zarlink") representing approximately 0.46% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Zarlink. The total number of common shares of Zarlink controlled by Centaurus, through funds it manages, together with all persons and companies acting jointly or in concert with Centaurus, is now 6,649,200, representing approximately 5.40% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Zarlink. Centaurus acquired all of its common shares of Zarlink since the announcement on July 20, 2011 by Zarlink of receipt of an unsolicited non-binding proposal from Microsemi Corporation to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Zarlink. Centaurus has acquired 6,142,200 common shares of Zarlink since the formal commencement of the take-over bid on August 17, 2011.
Centaurus acquired the common shares in the open market through the facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange. Centaurus acquired the common shares for investment purposes only. Centaurus may, depending on market and other conditions, acquire or sell further common shares from time to time for such investment purposes.
