What If...the Ref Likes His Cards? 7/1 With Sky Bet for Two or More Reds

(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 09/30/11 -- No fewer than 19 red cards have been shown in Premier League Merseyside derbies, more than in any other head-to-head in Premier League history. Ten of those dismissals have come in the last 13 meetings and Jamie Redknapp, former Liverpool captain and face of football betting, reckons another fiery encounter could be on the cards at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Referee, Martin Atkinson, who has given 14 red cards in the Premier League since the start of 2010/11- more than any other referee- and who dished out two in the Merseyside derby at Anfield in February 2010, has the unenviable task of trying to maintain order.

Sky Sports' betting arm, Sky Bet, offer that two or more sendings off occur, which is one of 50 markets available for the match. Redknapp reckons it could be a value bet.

"This game will always be tasty and there will be a few hotheads on the pitch. It's always a spicy atmosphere." he said.

Despite Liverpool's poor away form so far this term, Redknapp is tipping Sky Bet's 17/2 for a 2-1 victory for the Reds, who have been beaten by Everton just once in the last nine league encounters between the teams.

During Saturday's Merseyside derby (live on Sky Sports HD2 from noon), Sky Bet will also premiere their new TV advert, which celebrates the 'excitement of the uncertainty' of betting on football and introduces the strapline "Nothing's certain. That's why it's exciting."

The ad explores the thoughts of a football bettor, with each vignette contemplating a scenario that could impact on the outcome of their wager - you can view the ad now at .

Ted Moss, Marketing Director for Sky Betting and Gaming, said: "It's the uncertainty of sport that makes betting so exciting and we have captured this brilliantly in the new campaign to set us apart from our competitors."
