SGS Provides Technical Assistance and Quality Control of Public Lighting in Barcelona, Spain
SGS Industrial Services was awarded a contract, scheduled from April 2011 to December 2011, to provide comprehensive Technical Assistance and Quality Control of the public lighting in Barcelona, Spain in order to ensure the top performance of the city’s lighting.
(firmenpresse) - The reliability of the public lighting is essential for the functioning of every city. As even a minor failure can cause unacceptable chaos, especially in most cities the size of Barcelona, it is of the utmost importance to ensure the quality and reliability of the lighting at the earliest opportunity.
In April 2011, SGS Industrial Services was awarded a contract to provide Technical Assistance and Quality Control of the public lighting in Barcelona, Spain by Barcelona’s City Council in order to guarantee the highest quality of the public lighting.
For the duration of the contract, scheduled from April 2011 to December 2011, SGS is ensuring a good maintenance of the lighting in Barcelona by providing Quality Control of new facilities, street lights, and urban tunnel lighting in accordance with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards. SGS is conducting the testing by applying various light meter machines, including GPS positioning. Based on its extensive experience and expertise in projects of this kind, SGS is providing the measurements of light and monitoring the process of changing lamps and cleaning lights.
With its first-rate services, SGS is helping the client implement new technologies in the lighting quality control as well as reducing the response time in case of incidents by improving the management systems.
