First Unitarian Universalist Church Celebrates Ground Breaking
(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/26/11 -- The First Unitarian Universalist Church, located at 4190 Front Street in San Diego, has broken ground on their New Bard Hall and Campus Site Improvement Project. The project involves upgrades to the existing six-acre site, including utility upgrades, landscaping/irrigation, habitat mitigation, and hardscape. Construction Management services are provided by Southern Cross Property Consultants; and the General Contractor is Swinerton Builders.
The centerpiece of the project involves the construction of the New Bard Hall which will be a two-story, 8,700-square-foot structure incorporating many sustainable design principles. Innovative uses of natural finishes, ventilation, shading, reflectance, and energy management are just some of the incorporated design elements. The building will encompass a large Main Hall, Meeting Rooms, Library, Kitchen, Workroom, and Offices. The project is scheduled for completion in the Spring of 2012. Architectural design services are being provided by Platt/Whitelaw Architects, Inc.
