Voices and Visions: Standing on the Bridge Between Health and Disease -- A unique art exhibit expressing the voices and feelings of those touched by breast cancer and other women's health issues. The Breast Center at Floyd will host this national touring art exhibit throughout the month of October -- National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
More than 27 artists, 45 pieces of art, testimonials and photos. All art produced by artists who have been dramatically affected by women's cancers. The exhibit is being hosted by , a new concept in comprehensive breast health care. Located in the Harbin Clinic Tony E. Warren, M.D. Cancer Center, the center focuses on providing women with complete breast care beginning with education and continuing with screening, diagnostics and rapid results. , the company that also produced the Pink Glove Dance Video, is sponsoring this national tour as an extension of its breast cancer awareness campaign.
Most people can say they know someone who has been diagnosed with breast or ovarian cancer. Women everywhere face the fear of diagnosis every year as they have their annual mammograms and physician examinations. This exhibit gives voice to those who have been touched by women's health issues, who may live in fear, or who are previvors or survivors of women's cancers. With this exhibit, we hope to empower those who live on that bridge between health and disease.
